When her mother asked her relatives for advice on what to do for her daughter’s justice, she advised her to go to Awaz Sanstha, after which she called the helpline and informed about the problem. The organization took all the information over the phone, coordinated with the district and local police, rescued the girl, kept her in a safe house, counseled her and filed a case for legal process. After the case was registered, the police arrested 3 boys (above 18 years). The organization assisted the girl child in legal counseling, health treatment and family counseling. After the organization supported the girl with a scholarship, she is currently studying at her uncle’s house. His case has been filed in the court, and the case is currently in process. Janaki thanks the organization for helping her a lot and says that she hopes to get justice.
